In my April article, 12 Reasons the Rapture Could Happen in 2026, I argued that a 2026 Rapture—and the start of a 2026-2033 seven-year Tribulation—is imminent. While researching the article, I uncovered additional evidence that makes this prophetic case even more compelling. I didn’t include these extra details in the original piece, but I’m sharing them here for those who want to dig deeper.
Since the following eschatological analysis is often considered controversial, I’ve included several disclaimers:
I realize not everyone believes in a pre-Tribulation Rapture, or even the concept of the Rapture. However, after much prayer, research, and consideration of arguments from all sides, I firmly believe in a pre-Tribulation Rapture. So this article is written from that perspective.
While this article explores potential timelines for the seven-year Tribulation and Jesus’ return, my goal isn’t to set dates. Rather, it’s to highlight the imminence of these events—inspiring a deeper urgency to share the Gospel.
The dates mentioned in this article are based on the extensive research of Bible scholars, historical evidence, and scripture, not dreams or visions.
This analysis is not based on occult numerology—which seeks to decode destiny or hidden forces—but on the theological symbolism of numbers in the Bible.
The following information shouldn’t be considered in isolation, but in conjunction with all the other prophetic signs.
As these findings apply solely to the Gregorian calendar, it’s your decision whether the results are coincidence or Divine providence.
Before exploring further, let’s first review the key attributes of the Dead Sea Scroll, modern Jewish, and Gregorian calendars in order to contextualize the speculated dates.
The Dead Sea Scroll Calendar
The Dead Sea Scroll (DSS) calendar, also known as the original 364-day solar calendar, is part of the Dead Sea Scrolls, which remarkably, were discovered by a shepherd in 1947, the year before Israel was reborn as a nation. The calendar is based on a theological interpretation of the creation week from Genesis 1. It divides human history into three ages of 2,000 years each—the Age of Chaos, the Age of Torah, and the Church Age—for a total of 6,000 years, followed by a 1,000-year period, representing the seventh day or the Sabbath, commonly referred to as the Millennial Kingdom.
The Essenes, an ancient Jewish sect, continued using this 364-day solar calendar even after mainstream Judaism adopted a lunar system. They believed that God commanded this solar calendar to ensure all feasts and rituals were held on the correct days.
Since the 364-day DSS calendar is exactly divisible by seven, feasts such as Passover and the Day of Atonement consistently fall on the same day and date every year. For example, Passover always occurs on Tuesday (the third day of the week), Nisan 14, and the Day of Atonement always occurs on Friday (the sixth day of the week), Tishrei 10. In order to reconcile the 364-day calendar with a longer solar year (~365 days), a leap week was added once every five to six years.

The Modern Jewish Calendar
The modern Jewish calendar used by mainstream Judaism is lunisolar, which means it combines months corresponding to lunar cycles with years corresponding to the solar cycle. This calendar consists of 12 months, each containing 29 or 30 days. In order to reconcile the differing lunar and solar cycles, an extra month is added every several years.
According to this calendar, Jewish feasts always fall on the same Hebrew dates, but the Gregorian (secular) days are different each year. For example, the Day of Atonement is celebrated on Tishrei 10 each year, but the day of the week shifts. In 2025, the Day of Atonement fell on Thursday, October 2, and in 2026, it will fall on Monday, September 21.
The Gregorian Calendar
Introduced by Pope Gregory XIII in 1582, the Gregorian calendar is the internationally accepted civil calendar used by most of the world. It’s a 365-day solar calendar which uses a leap day approximately every four years in order to reconcile the slightly longer length of an actual solar year (~365.2422 days).
The Biblical Meaning of Numbers and My Analysis:
According to BibleStudy.org:
An essential key to understanding God’s Word and its design is through the meaning of Biblical numbers. Their connections and patterns, when we search them out and understand them, reveal the handiwork of God.
Although the arrangement of some numbers is obvious, others are not and require in-depth Bible study in order to discover them. The patterns found do not exist by random chance but by design. Each one has a particular symbolism attached to it by our Creator.
In the Bible, the number 6 symbolizes the number of man, human weakness, the evils of the devil, and the manifestation of sin. Because humanity was created on day 6 of creation week, the number 6 and the sixth day, Friday, are considered prophetically significant.
Many scholars date Jesus’ crucifixion to Friday, April 3, 33 AD. This timing holds immense spiritual significance as it falls on Friday, the sixth day of the week, and marks the day Jesus sacrificed Himself to save humanity from sin and eternal death. Additionally, this date reflects the number 333. Multiple threes symbolize God’s covenant with Abraham, Israel’s possession of the Promised Land, Jesus’ relationship with His physical family, and the Trinity doctrine. Furthermore, multiple threes are linked to one of the major proofs that Jesus was Jewish.
Prophecy scholars often argue that just as the spring Jewish feasts were fulfilled at Jesus’ first coming, the fall feasts will be literally fulfilled at His second coming, specifically on the Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur). Moreover, if the Millennial Day Theory is correct (2 Days of the Lord = 2,000 years), then we can postulate that Jesus could return on the Day of Atonement in 2033, 2,000 years after He was crucified. Prophecy is pattern.
On the DSS calendar, in 2033, the Day of Atonement falls on Friday (the sixth day of the week), September 30, which also reflects the number 333. Additionally, in the Bible, the number 9 (September) symbolizes Divine completeness and finality, and the number 30 represents the sacrificial blood of Jesus and dedication to a particular calling.
If we subtract 2,520 days (1,260 + 1,260) for the seven-year Tribulation from September 30, 2033, the first day of the Tribulation would fall on Friday (the sixth day of the week), November 6, 2026. This date reflects the number 6 three times (666), which alludes to the mark of the beast. And the biblical meaning of the number 11 (November) is disorder, chaos, and judgment.
However, since Jesus was crucified on Passover according to the calendar used by mainstream Judaism—not the DSS calendar’s date—it’s plausible He could return on the modern Jewish Day of Atonement.
On the modern Jewish calendar, in 2033, the Day of Atonement falls on Monday, October 3. Even though this isn’t a Friday, the date still reflects the number 333. Furthermore, the number 10 (October), which represents 4 (the physical creation) and 6 (the number of man), symbolizes testimony, law, responsibility, and the completeness of order.
If we subtract 2,520 days (1,260 + 1,260) for the seven-year Tribulation from October 3, 2033, the first day of the Tribulation would fall on Monday, November 9, 2026. As mentioned above, the biblical meaning of 11 (November) is disorder, chaos, and judgment, and the biblical meaning of 9 is Divine completeness and finality. Wow!
Moreover, the number 20 (from 2033) represents a complete period of waiting, expectation, or preparation. And 33—the numeric equivalent of the word “Amen”—conveys divine completion, fulfillment of promises, and covenant. Additionally, the number 26 (from 2026) is the numerical value of YHWH, the sacred Hebrew word for God, which signifies the eternal nature of God’s existence.
Lastly, the first and closest flyby of the asteroid, Apophis, falls on Friday, April 13, 2029. If Apophis is indeed the second or third Trumpet judgment, the date April 13 is meaningful. April is the month Jesus was crucified, it falls on a Friday (the sixth day of the week), and the biblical meaning of the number 13 is rebellion and lawlessness.
Conclusion
Assuming Jesus was crucified on April 3, 33 AD, the year 2033 is exceptional. It’s the only year the Day of Atonement reflects the number 333, aligning perfectly across both the DSS and modern Jewish calendars with a striking pattern of multiple threes. On top of that, if Jesus returns in 2033 and His 1,000-year earthly reign begins that same year, then the Millennial Kingdom would conclude in 3033—more multiple threes. Again, prophecy is pattern.
Furthermore, if the seven-year Tribulation lasts exactly 2,520 days, both resulting dates that mark the beginning symbolize the unprecedented chaos, distress, and Divine judgment of that era. Finally, the close pass of Apophis on Friday, April 13, 2029, stands as a prophetic symbol of judgment against mankind’s rebellion.
The convergence of prophetic signs and the biblical meaning of numbers points to a strong possibility of a 2026 Rapture. However, this doesn’t mean the event is guaranteed to happen this year. While the timing remains solely in God’s hands, the shadows of the signs make it clear that the seven-year Tribulation is closer now than ever before.
Almost 2,000 years ago, Jesus willingly bore the penalty for our sins, conquering death so we may have eternal life. The gift of salvation is free—but it must be accepted. Because our days are numbered and our future is certain, there’s no greater priority than anchoring our souls in a relationship with Jesus today. Only those who have a relationship with Jesus will escape the coming Tribulation.
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish, but have eternal life” (John 3:16, NIV).
